The Grandparents sent a sand art kit for Princess and I. We had fun making them!
I super-glued the lids on so that she can keep some of them in her room and I dont have to worry about them being accidentally pored out anywhere.

Now why didn't I think of that? The last time my daughter received a sand art kit, it ended up EVERYWHERE! Thanks a lot Grandma! lol

Looks like a hit! What a great rainy day idea too. Thanks for linkin up for WW!
We love sand art. When we was younger we would take table salt and chalk and make our own colored sand.
Ohhhh - you are one smart Mama! :)

sooo fun...I remember doing these when I was a kid. Brings back memories!
I remember playing with those as a child. I look forward to playing with them when I get older too.
Tip: You can make your own coloured sand by grating some coloured chalk into white sugar and mixing it up.
The jars turned out so cute! I have such a love-hate relationship with sand projects! lol
Oh that looks like fun craft for all of us!! They look great too!
WOW that looks like so much fun and they look so pretty! :D Happy WW!
Those are really lovely sand art pieces.
Happy WW

Those are intense! You two really went to town using it all up. I will store this idea away for when I need a fun craft, and thanks to Marilyn for the money-saving tip! (Would just have to keep my child from eating the chalk sugar...lol.)
That looks fun. Sadly The Dudes throw sand, a skill refined by spending every day on our lake beach, and while I can deal with it outdoors I wouldn't be so happy about the idea in the house. They think sand makes excellent explosions for their action figures so I've not entirely curbed the activity. Guess I should get to work on that!
Oh fun! Haven't seen that in years.

So cool... I want to play too! I wonder if my boys would like this. Do they have more "manly" colors I wonder?
I have always love those things.. Great job you two...
How fun!!! Great idea! :)
She did such a nice job. My sand art never layered well.
OOOHHH!!! Now I want some!!!
What a great idea! I am going to get me some sand art. :)

So pretty, what a great gift from the grandparents. Great idea about gluing the tops. I didn't do that when my boys made theirs when they were kids - YIKES, big mistake, I was cleaning up sand for WEEKS in their room. :-)
Awesome! Sand art is SO fun! We are having the kids do sand art candles for Vacation Church School this year! Love it!
Those are very cool...and somehow remind me of Dr. Seuss. What fun :)
I absolutely loved Sand Art as a kid! Your daughter looks like she had a great time!
