I learned a new ingredient recently that seems weird to me, apple slices....
Growing up the way my mom always made it was with:
mayo, relish and hard boiled eggs (chopped into small pieces).
My husband had never heard of putting eggs in it until me, he likes lots of miracle whip (not mayo - either works for me). A friend of mine put tomato in hers. I tried that and its good but I still prefer the way my mom made it. Also its best when the bread is toasted.
How do you eat tuna fish?

We had friends growing up that put mustard and tomatoes in theirs. *eeeeewwww*!
I like mine with mayo, not miracle whip. Eggs, pickles, and a bit of chopped onion make it yummy!
Solid White albacore tuna packed in water, just another miracle whip to make it wet, maybe one tablespoon per can, maybe a little more, 1 finely chopped large celery stalk per can, lots of lemon juice, real lemon juice, maybe 1/8 cup per can...mmmmm
My husband loves his tuna salad with chunks of apple and celery and mayo. I like mine with celery and almonds.
When I was younger I used eggs, sweet pickles, onion, and miracle whip. But now I just use eggs and miracle whip. My husband loves his with black pepper on toasted bread.
I like to squeeze in a little relish and sometimes grate in a little carrot. The best way to enjoy tuna is with a slice of cheese and tomato and pop it under the broiler for a minute...open faced tuna melts...Yummmm!
